Hey, I’m super happy I can use this script! I’m not so good in building the sites, better in thinking of something difficult I want ;)

Is there someone who figured out how to make the scrolling go a little bit slower? I saw some people already asking but didn’t see any answer. I hope this is possible, it would work nicely on my design.

Hi!
Is there some way to disable the .js on certain a href? There are some links that I would like to not animate - and some that don’t work ‘cos of the horizontal tiny scroll since they are supposed to scroll vertically (ie only).

Has anyone made it possible to combine tiny scroll and horizontal tiny scroll btw?

I have a fixed menu on the left side and the script makes the sliding content to slide “under” the menu si the text becomes invisible. Is there a way to tell the script not to scroll all the way to the beginning of the website?

awesome script, using it for a client site right now. bit fiddly working out the best place for the anchors but aside from that worked without modification.

Do you think it would be possible to adapt this script into having the anchor tags located in variously located absolutely positioned containers throughout the page so you can make interesting transitions? sort of how http://www.sursly.com is, but more mapped out all over the page.

Hi there, realy cool script but i have one problem. When i use “position: absolute;” in my css files the scrolling doenst work downwords. Is there a way around this? Because i realy need to use absolute psitions and i would like to use your script. Thx in advance

Hi there. I’ve sent an email to you and posted on your Facebook page (which you deleted) and haven’t heard a thing from you. This is a great script, but it clearly has issues in Safari, Chrome and Opera with the mouse wheel scrolling and the scrolling arrows disappearing and I am wondering if this is something that you plan on addressing or not?

Neat Script. Thanks. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with getting it to work when shadowbox is present on the same page. The scrip seems to break shadowbox when it is called before shadowbox in the . ??? : )

I had a problem with an IE error showing up and I figured it out. I thought some of you would benefit if I posted.
If you use the thw.js and omit the forward and back arrow functionality you will get that error in IE unless you omit the code for it in the .js file. You have to comment out the scrollTips.init(); in the beginning and then the actual function scrollTips.init();

Hi, this is a great script, I’m wondering if anyone knows of a way to use the Horizontal way but only have it scroll a div that is part of the page, so your only scrolling a section? Also is there a way to have it scroll continuous and have the arrows control the direction, mouse over content to pause?

Hi There,

This is indeed a great script as many have mentioned. Is there any way to control the speed of scrolling on the Left and Right Arrows? There are settings in the .js file for the scrolling on links to the various sections of the page, but these don’t seem to change the speed of scrolling on the arrows.

Ciao usando il tuo script v0.8 mi viene fuori errore nella riga 147 sia su firefox 3.5 che su explorer 6
Lo script funziona ma da questi errori che sono abbastanza fastidiosi.

Hi, first of all, congrats for the script!

Now the problem…
Look at this test page: http://www.espiritodoferro.com/teste/

The demo pages are working well on my Firefox 3.5.3 @ Mac OS Leopard, but not this test page.
It don’t slide down, only do the effect when sliding up. (it works totally on Safari)

Can anyone help me?

Great script… but I have a question.

I have a Container… within that I have a Header (that I want to stay center browser), Content (images that scroll horizontally), and a Footer (that I want to stay center browser).

I understand how to get things to stay center browser, but what happens when I apply this script and the Content gets really wide (and I assume I have to set the width in the Body) the Header and the Footer centers to the width (way right) and not to the browser window.

Is there a CSS work-around for this?

alright.. I havent gotten a respond on this yet, but I am still very happy with this plugin. None the less, I have created a hacky type of fix.. What I did was created CSS style hotspots instead of dreamweaver image maps.. So i added the picture as normal inside of a containing div, and then created another div that contains a list of links with nothing in them (no anchor text). Then I gave each individual link its own class that placed it directly over the area that I want to be clickable.

Thisis really NOT idea for me, as I would like to have some type of hover effect too, but i cant to it this way..

It also is going to create a HUGE css file filled with these css hotspots because I am going to have a different set of navigation links on every page, so theyw ill ALL need their own classes..

So I am STILL hoping for a javascript fix for this.. so please.. PLEASE, if you are still supporting this addon, please post here or email me and give me some type of direction!! You can see my progress here:

position:fixed;
that will keep it in that position no matter where you scroll.

hey dude.. I’m back and I have a little bit of an issue.. i have been able to use your addon with an image based menu, but when I use an image menu that get’s it’s links from a map (like coordinates) it does not work. I’m assuming its because of the lack of the anchor.. Instead my link looks like this:

Is there a place in the code where I can account for the area shape too? I would like to have both there if possible

Just wanted to say THANKS for making this so easy.. not only did you write an awesome plugin, but you offered up and website framework for designing a horizontal website.. I do plan on doing mine a little different, but it was PERFECT to start with!!!!

I do have a question.. is there a max width for any particular browser?? for instance, how long REALLY can you go with this??

When loaded in firefox, the smooth scroll doesn’t work properly upon first attempt. After a few clicks of the links, it will then work properly, but other than that, it jumps from container to container. If anyone could assist me in why this may be i would appreciate it.

IMAGE FIX

Look at the file for horizontal scrolling. There is a fix mentioned in there. Its marked FIX. Its only one line long and has one associated function. Copy those into the tiny scrolling file and change the names to work.

It works fine when scrolling from right to left, but it works too slow when scrolling to left to right…
Does anyone know how to fix it?? I’ve tried many options but I couldn’t make it work.

Hi, anyone knows how to integrate the script to a flash menu wich calls the anchors with a getURL. I’m using
getURL(”javascript:window.location.href=’http://www.mypage.com/index.html#anchor’;void(0);”); to link the flash menu to the corresponent anchor… But the scroll doesn’t work… :(

Hey! I’m curious if anyone can tell me why the div’si have targeted as the containers will not style with the css? I have each div labeled one, two, three, and so forth, and to trget them, they are and so forth. Do i need to add class to the containers to get them to style correctly?
